the purpose of the medical plastics division (mpd) of the society of plastics engineers (spe) is to support the objectives of the society at large as well as to serve the needs of the division membership, grow the organization, and help members better succeed in the medical device and healthcare products industry and execute the mpd mission statement. mission statement to promote the mpd of the spe through outreach, networking, mentoring and providing education about our fascinating and vital industry. to encourage the interchange of technical and regulatory information on the polymer materials / components used in medical devices, drug delivery systems, combination products, and in device containers (primary & secondary) among the scientific and engineering professionals who are engaged in the medical device and related industries. to broadly engage everyone from the mpd board and division members to help shape our message and to encourage others to join us in our mission.
