society of singers (sos) mission is to improve, preserve and maintain the personal dignity and quality of life of professional singers, nationwide, by providing a wide range of resources and opportunities in order to conserve their livelihood and continue with their craft, while also offering ongoing education to further enhance their ability to prosper and thrive. we provide assistance to those in the background, often unknown, but no less passionate singers in our industry as we have for over 30 years. sos provides a safety net for singers, many of whom are facing chronic illness and disability or extreme and unexpected emergencies. comprehensive services include free counseling, case management, referrals, financial grants and secondary career assistance. funds are raised through monthly benefits by singer/songwriters locally and an annual fundraising event. generous donations from philanthropic partners include the elton john charitable foundation, the herb alpert foundation and th
