the purpose of the education offered through the standards of excellence career tracks is to provide the career and technical education necessary for students to succeed in getting and keeping the job to which they aspire. by providing job training, coaching and support, the courses arm students with the skills for which employers are looking and which job seekers must have. the career tracks are organized by courses and in course sequences to maximize the students’ probability of success. the courses and course sequences in each career track also provide instruction focused on workforce readiness and personal development. leadership and employability skills are included as a part of the curriculum because research unanimously confirms that employers demand both skills in today’s workplace. the standards of excellence academy (soe) is an educational facility with a curriculum designed for people who have completed high school or equivalency and now need some specialized training in the
