photographs are special moments in time! soft focus is owned and run by melissa shaw, a seattle & tacoma photographer. eager to photograph your special day, whatever it may be, i specialize in family & children portraiture, maternity, and engagement photography. i have had the privilidge of a being the lead photographer for my current corporate job going on 11 years now. i never wanted to branch out and start my own photography business until i was fully ready, and now i'm happily fulfilling that dream! i am a mom to my three dogs, winston, harley & bailey. i am also a wife to my amazing husband of 6 years. summer is my favorite season, with fall being a close second. i am constantly looking for ways explore more of what the pacific northwest has to offer; it's beauty is endless! i'm literally living, eating, sleeping & breathing photography (as cliché as it may sound). it's such an honor to be able to capture your unforgettable moments on film to last a lifetime...and more! photograph
