of ellicott city, md made its debut. it was and still is a family owned business, originally owned by the weal family, ed, joan, michael and steve. the idea for the store was a result of ed weal's vacations to rehobeth beach, delaware where he would stroll down the boardwalk and visit the various soft ice cream shops...asking questions about the businesses and eventually presenting his idea to the family for a new business in ellicott city. the family already owned the forest motel on route 40 since 1967 and it seemed like a perfect location and fit for the area. the ice cream shop was built in front of and contiguous to the motel and opened in may of 1984.

You’ll be in good company
Calling Distro an all-in-one tool is an oversimplification of the value it delivers. All the workflows we need to acquire and support our SMB users across all channels are deeply integrated. I couldn’t be happier with our choice.

Jody Schnarr

CEO of Fibernetics

The #1 reason why we chose Distro is because it provides all the building blocks we need to engage our customers in a unified way — From email, texting, telephony and collaboration. This is probably the last tool you’ll buy for lead and customer outreach.

Laurel Palmer

Director, College Fund, Kalamazoo College

Stitching together a bunch of integrations and add-ons across multiple vendors is not my idea of productivity or efficiency. Thats why we chose Distro — each module is as full featured as any standalone competition.
