l'idée de la création de la sogemef est née de la conviction selon laquelle les petites et micro entreprises sont mal prises en compte dans la distribution de services financiers et qu’un meilleur accompagnement permettrait à ces opérateurs marginalisés de contribuer plus efficacement au développement économique du pays. constat est fait que les systèmes financiers traditionnels basés sur le secteur bancaire sont, dans la plupart des cas, peu diversifiés induisant surtout l’accès difficile pour une large frange de la population et des entreprises aux produits et services financiers: d’une part les agences et guichets sont concentrés au niveau des centres urbains, et d’autre part les conditions d’accompagnement notamment l’existence de procédures lourdes et contraignantes n’encouragent pas les populations à solliciter les établissements bancaires. la sogemef a été créée en mai 2014. elle n’a cependant confirmé sa personnalité juridique, qu’après l’obtention de son agrément en qualité
