the majority of women (need to) wear a bra every day, some even every night. yet, most women find it difficult to find bras that fit them. on the other hand, underwear brands face a logistical nightmare: having to forecast, produce, and stock volumes of bras in up to 90 standard sizes (10 band sizes, and 9 cup sizes). garment (over)production is also an environmental issue when we know that today every 5th piece of garment ends up in landfill without ever being worn. all in all, the bra fitting and production problem is costing women, brands, and the environment. at soi(e), we take a systemic approach to contribute to a more inclusive & sustainable world: blending fashion and technology through an innovative garment-making process. we’ve automated the tailors' age-old pattern adjustment techniques into our fitting algorithm leveraging parameterised design software. we use this algorithm to create bras that are made-to-order, made-to-measure, and made-to-last, right here in austral
