Solèy

solèy is a non-profit organization that offers clean energy and hope to native haitians living off the grid, while attributing to long-term local economic growth through low-cost energy solutions. in addition, solèy offers the opportunity to achieve energy freedom by educating local villagers on their sustainable energy awareness. currently, edh, haiti's largest government-owned electric company, only provides about 5 to 13 hours of electricity per day throughout the country. furthermore, the preferred power fueling method in many rural households in haiti remains charcoal, which is a major cause of deforestation and harmful exposure to smoke and indoor air pollution. with solèy’s green energy solutions, however, not only are these detrimental impacts significantly reduced, but so too are the electricity bills for many rural home and business owners.
