Solace for the Children, Inc.

solace for the children is a 501(c)3 organization of volunteers building peace on a foundation of health. solace establishes international partnerships to provide medical care, education and leadership development for the children of war-torn countries of the world. currently we have active programs in afghanistan and are laying the groundwork for serving the children of syria and iraq. to accomplish this, medical professionals, business and community leaders come together in solace communities across the country as volunteers ready to receive these children, nurturing and caring for them through treatment, healing and community activities. hosting these children is a life changing experience for solace families in the u.s, yet the effects reach beyond. through the course of the summer, friendships develop between afghan children of differing ethnic backgrounds and social classes, afghans and americans, and local christian and muslim volunteers. solace for the children believes these r
