Solar for Sub-Saharan Schools and Communities, S3c

s3c is a social venture aimed at the sustainable implementation of solar energy and other renewable energy solutions in rural africa. s3c as social venture contains s3c foundation and s3c ltd. s3c foundation focusses on the vocational training of local youth in solar technology and in the financial support of school solar projects. s3c ltd is majority owned by the foundation and invests in the start-up of local solar companies run by local entrepreneurs. s3c's mission sustainable implementation of off-grid, small solar energy systems in rural regions in sub-saharan developing countries, through rural schools (and clinics/government offices where applicable). we combine this with knowledge transfer and local capacity building, to improve educational results and access to schools (and as such improve future perspectives of the pupils) and to improve economic perspectives of the local youth from the rural communities.
