solarmass ltd have designed and developed a unique lightweight, highly-efficient solar cell. it has the same weight as thinfilm but with 16% efficiency, making this the lightest, most powerful solar cell available for mass production. while we are aware that more highly efficient cells exist, ours is by far the most cost-effective and fit for purpose. in comparison to current glass solar technology this technology also has other attributes: - our product has a manufacturing carbon footprint 136x lower. - transportation is far more cost effective as we can transport 10x the amount per shipping container. - it can be manufactured in a range of colours. - it is less susceptible to heat gain and therefore does not suffer the same inefficiencies in high temperature climates - it is comparable in cost solarmass ltd are launching this technology as a photovoltaic roof tile, compatible with all large format concrete/clay roof tiles. these roof tiles are the most common roof tile available and
