solarseek as is a solar energy company based in trondheim, norway. the business idea which laid the foundation of the company is solar blinds. solar blinds are a two-in-one solution, merging solar panels with external window blinds which are primarily mounted on industrial and office buildings. the company was started in autumn 2020 by six students at thora storm high school following the entrepreneurship and business development curriculum. after just under a year of developing the product as well as participating in various industrial fairs and winning multiple prizes, solarseek went from a youth company (ungdomsbedrift) to a private company (aksjeselskap). solarseek has gained an extensive network with many of the world’s biggest technology, solar energy, and window blind companies to further develop the solar blind concept.
