first, solidaridad invented fair trade coffee. after that we changed the banana market forever by introducing the first sustainable banana brand in the world. for more than 45 years solidaridad has been working to create fair and sustainable supplies chains from producer to consumer. today, the solidaridad network is active in more than 56 countries, partnering with companies, financial institutions, governments, foundations and other ngos to facilitate the development of socially sound, ecologically responsible and profitable supply chains. the network has 1o regional offices ( 3 in africa, 3 in latin america, 2 in asia, and one each in europe and north america.) solidaridad north america represents the network and develops partnerships with north american companies, foundations, organizations, and other entities interested in furthering our vision of a world in which all we produce and all we consume can sustain us while respecting the planet, each other and future generations.
