inspired by our home town of buckfastleigh, once a thriving centre of the english woollen industry, we have developed a new way of working with wool. our town is our inspiration. wool is our key ingredient. we use wool from upland, hill-farmed sheep, historically used in the uk carpet industry. demand for this wool is in decline and is considered almost worthless, a by-product of sheep farming. we combine the wool with bio-resin. think fibreglass, but with wool. we believe in creating beautiful, soulful products, designed to last. our range of furniture is design and manufactured by ourselves. we also work with other great brands who see a use for solidwool in their product range.
