solidworx engineering was established in 2008 by ceo anton bezuidenhout. at this time, he had 21 years extensive experience in the manufacturing of alloy wheels. during this process (which included the export of its products), the business gained sufficient knowledge and experience to expand into gravity aluminium die-casting. in respect of aluminium gravity, die-casting solidworx can produce between 6000 and 9000 components a month. this volume is calculated on the basis of components that vary from as light as 30 grams to 30kg. the melting holding furnaces range from 50kg to 250kg in melted aluminium weight. dies are cleaned by fine sandblasting after every run and are maintained in-house. in the machine shop, press and form tooling design is performed, using a feeler vertical machining center, a johnford mill for roughing and squaring, and two fanuc robo drills. the company also has other precision engineering tools to manufacture products and produce castings of components for clie
