i didn’t start life wanting to make perfumes. i didn’t receive some wild inspiration as a teenager. i didn’t always know my calling. it happened slowly. over time i got progressively more and more obsessed with perfumery and finding the perfect fragrance. eventually, i had my lightbulb moment where it occurred to me: hey. i’d really like to do this as a job. there’s no grand vision. no unifying ambition. just that i wanted to give it a go. what do i know about making perfume? well. nothing. truth be told, this has been a pretty complicated journey for me. i’ve had to work with perfumers in the uk and europe to create the range and whenever i wrote briefs i tried to stick to three principles: simple, unpretentious, and beautiful.
