somac threads was founded by david mcclements in 1979. as a family-owned business we uphold traditional values that deliver high quality products and service. somac manufactures a range of industrial threads in the uk, as well as distributing other brand named threads for use in a multitude of industries across the globe. somac launched the somabond bonded nylon brand in october 2016 using the most up to date manufacturing methods producing a top quality bonded nylon thread. we are proud to be the uk and ireland distributor for a&e (american & efird), one of the leading thread manufacturers in the world! somac also distribute kingstar® and royal® embroidery threads as well vilene® backing products. somac are members of the national bed federation (nbf) and are iso 9001 certified.
