somali sideways started in 2014 with the hope of changing the world views on the somali region through visual storytelling. from photography it has now shifted towards writing and this project has published two book. the first one which was published in february 2018 is called somali sideways: changing the perceptions of the somalis. it has travelled to over 30+ countries where book events were held all around the world. the second book is called somali sideways: araweelo edition. this book was published in february 2020.
