somek training ‘specialists in hand therapy & orthotics and people skills since 1986'. we provide simple and effective techniques to help knowledge of: fabrication, clinical reasoning, and treatment within hand therapy. our splinting technique tailors the splint precisely to the patients’ needs which assists in preventative, maintenance and/or correction of the patients’ condition (a handmade splint can also be more cost effective than using a prefabricated splint). we offer courses within the following areas; introduction, assessment, and handling of the hand, orthotics, neurology, paediatrics, orthopedics, and the rheumatoid hand. the courses are suitable for all ranges of experience; whether you have just started in occupational therapy or physiotherapy, if you need to build on your skills, or if you need a refresher course. courses available privately, or at our head office (chesham, bucks) ‘somek training - specialist solutions, supporting your cpd’
