someone for the job is the uk's latest free online service portal which allows people to either post up details of a project they are unable to do themselves (job provider) or register to make some extra income by using their skills to help with chores or projects (job seeker). our mission is help the millions of people who are currently unemployed or on low incomes to use their time, skills and experience to earn extra money working for people in their area who need odd jobs and assistance with their homes and gardens. this initiative will also help local tradespeople to support their community by enabling them to register and find projects on their doorstep. we hope that our initiative will tap into the growth in the freelance and self-employed market which indicates there is a pool of available skills and labour to tap into. we also aim to help the 9.01 million people who are currently economically inactive to use their time, skills and experience to work for people who need odd job
