Somogyvari Photography

i was born and raised in south africa, growing up on the south west coast, i spent most of my time dodging school and surfing as much as possible. having always been interested in arts and photography from an early age, the difficulty of not making a career from photography was always known. however having spent numerous years abroad (uk) pretending to enjoy engineering sales, i was coerced into capturing my first wedding. “really?” i thought, would that not be for the older “other” photographers that enjoy standing in well placed groups with their camera and tripod, asking nicely: “say cheese!!” ….??? well i very soon realised just what kind of skill, timing, flair, knowledge etc. is required....as you may have guessed i have been hooked ever since! my approach to wedding photography would consist of getting a good mix of formal and group shots, but ultimately my interest would lie in the creative and expressive side. what fuels my passion, is continuously trying new techniques, ideas
