sonali vij is a singer/ songwriter/ producer. her music is highly alternative and is heavily layered with acoustic and electric guitars produced in the thickest flavors of angst and aggression. it’s progressive in nature and psychedelic in its vibe. sonali's performances are often identified with the simplistic rawness of her uniquely textured vocals accompanied with her powerful guitar playing techniques. all of her compositions were born of the guitar she plays. she hopes to take her listeners back in time to the honest feelings in their purest form that inspired her songs. she's is a self-taught musician, who plays guitar, piano, harmonica and drums and who writes every one of her songs. vij has already been writing and composing songs for what seems like a long time before crown of thorns was released, with mtv indies in 2014. she went on from there to being nominated for artist aloud music awards 2014 with her very first release. having received positive reviews, she released her
