Sonic Spa Gong Bath Meditation

a gong bath is a relaxing and therapeutic experience. during a gong bath you are 'bathed' in the vibration sound of the gong. despite the name there is no water - so no need for swimsuits! the only thing you need to do is lie down on a mat (provided by us), wrap yourself in a blanket, lay your head on a pillow, close your eyes and relax. the lights will be dimmed to help you to wind down. the session takes about an hour and the gong is not played in a recognisable pattern or rhythm. this encourages the brain to drift into a theta state, which is the early stages of sleep or in other words a meditative state. this allows the left, logical side of the brain to rest, while the right, creative (and underused) side of the brain is stimulated which can be wonderful for relaxation, healing, creative inspiration and problem solving.
