sonlight power transforms lives with love and solar power. we apply a unique blend of love and solar power in sustainable ways to support the needs of children and their families in communities in the u.s. and worldwide without access to affordable electricity. we aim to tackle one of the world's biggest challenges. an estimated 1.4 billion people do not have access to affordable electric power, or about one of every four people on the planet. this statistic is even more alarming in developing countries, where almost 80 percent of people have no access to electricity. this lack of supply hinders the quality of medical care, obstructs education for children and makes everyday life even more challenging. sonlight power outreach is designed so the people we serve are dependent not on us, but on each other. we seek partnerships with the people we serve and other compatible organizations to promote sustainable outcomes through solar training that builds capacity and empowers people to help
