Sons of the American Revolution (Lafayette Chapter)

the sons of the american revolution is the leading male lineage society that perpetuates the ideals of the war for independence. as a historical, educational, and patriotic, non-profit corporation, we seek to maintain and expand the meaning of patriotism, respect for our national symbols, the value of american citizenship, and the unifying force of "e pluribus unum" that was created from the people of many nations -- one nation and one people. mission statement: "the purpose of the sons of the american revolution is "to perpetuate the memory of those who, by their services or sacrifices during the war of the american revolution, achieved the independence of the american people." our lafayette chapter meets 5 to 6 times per year for lunch and have a speaker for the program. we confer flag and hero awards to those identified individuals in our communities. we honor those that defended our country in the american revolution and most especially those ancestors we have identified in our fam
