sonshine wilderness retreat (swr) is a place in the colorado wilderness for adults to withdraw from the daily distractions that hinder their relationship with god. swr provides opportunities for excursions into the wilderness to experience creation, allowing individuals to replenish their spirit by reconnecting with the creator. swr offers a varying degree of adventure, ranging from relaxing at the base camp to multiple daily excursions into the wilderness. swr is also partnering with local outfitters, such as rafting the arkansas river and zip lining the big horn sheep canyon, to give the total wilderness experience. with an ala carte style trip programing, swr can customize the experience to a group’s liking. each trip will also include a spiritual component. swr will work with the group leader to craft topical devotionals / spiritual activities tailored specifically for the group. swr is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation in colorado that is located about three hours southwest of den
