the sorenson center for discovery & innovation, aka the sorenson sandbox, is where we have our toys for our four innovation labs where both undergraduate and graduate students develop their creative genius around the next technology paradigm – the internet of things. the iot lab enables you to create apps that connect to mobile sensors and devices you develop in the rux lab. the data and information that comes from your digital devices you analyze and visualization in our dav lab and then you create virtual worlds through computer simulation in the sag lab. by developing skills in data analytics and visualization, computer simulation and gamification, and rapid prototyping and user experience students are prepared to invent and innovate across industries. the sorenson sandbox launched in 2014, bring industry, faculty and students, from across the university, together to achieve its five-fold mission: educate – through courses, workshops and executive education we teach over a hundred u
