sorrel river studios is a home studio in northern virginia specializing in being an affordable recording space for musicians and artists of all genres with particular experience in rock, indie, folk, punk, praise & worship music, hard rock and metal. sorrel river studios began in 2017 with a vision for being a vibrant, empowering creative space for musical artists. we especially wanted to make space for newer and working artists to be able to record their music in a supportive environment and at an attainable price point. our studio takes up a large double garage, treated and arranged for audio recording with additional space for writing, practicing, or hanging out around the house. we currently use a four-channel audio interface going into a macmini running logic pro x with various dynamic and condenser microphone options, a full birch-shell drum kit, guitars, a bass guitar, and several amplifiers. our rates are extremely affordable, and significantly below market rates for recording
