sos children's villages is the world’s largest non-governmental organisation focused on supporting children and young people without parental care, or at risk of losing it. in the west, central and north africa region (wcna), sos children's villages international is headquartered in dakar and supports our members associations in 21 countries. today, many children in the region are growing up alone, without appropriate parental care and access to essential services. lack of proper national development policies, armed conflicts and disasters have left thousands of children without parental care, access to health, education and nutrition. we work to keep families together, provide alternative care when needed, support young people on their path to independence, and advocate for children's rights. together with donors, partners, communities and governments, we are laying the foundation for a better future and contribute to achieving the global sos children's villages vision that "no c
