Sos Community Services

sos community services is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to preventing and ending family homelessness in washtenaw county, michigan. for 46 years, sos has been a pioneer in serving community members who are most in need. our mission is to promote housing stability and family self-sufficiency through collaboration, care and respect. today the agency serves over 7,000 people each year and focuses on assisting homeless families with children, which reflects approximately 35% of the homeless population in washtenaw county. sos provides family shelter and rapid re-housing programs, employment support, food pantry, children’s programs, and information and referrals for community resources.
