sos dolfijn: het centrum voor walvissen in de noordzee! langs de nederlandse kust spoelt soms een levende walvisachtige aan. meestal gaat het om een bruinvis, één van de kleinste tandwalvissen, maar soms ook om een dolfijn of grote walvis. stichting sos dolfijn biedt hulp aan deze dieren in nood! in iedere situatie wordt gekeken hoe elk dier het best geholpen kan worden. om bruinvissen en dolfijnen te kunnen redden beschikt sos dolfijn over een specialistisch opvangcentrum en speciale dolfijnambulances. de vrijwilligers van sos dolfijn staan dag en nacht klaar om zieke en gewonde dieren te verzorgen in de opvangbassins. de herstelperiode is een intensief proces. wanneer een patiënt helemaal is opgeknapt volgt de terugkeer naar zee. de afgelopen jaren hebben tientallen bruinvissen die ten dode waren opgeschreven zo een tweede kans gekregen! bruinvissen, dolfijnen en walvissen worden ernstig bedreigd door bijvoorbeeld vervuiling, geluidsverstoring en bijvangst in netten. samen met wetens
