sostenica empowers the people of nicaragua to achieve healthy lives within vibrant, sustainable communities. sostenica accomplishes this mission through relationships among international community members that support (i) micro-credit, (ii) delivery of education programs focused on sustainable agriculture, forestry, and ecosystem restoration, (iii) formation of markets for locally and sustainably produced goods, and (iv) incubation of small and medium enterprises. sostenica promotes economic and community development in many regions of nicaragua through credit, technical assistance, and outreach to low income businesses and small farmers. we work collaboratively with our partners in nicaragua, ceprodel (centro de promoción del desarrollo local or center for the promotion of local development) and fudemi (fundación para el desarrollo de la microempresa), to promote economic development through micro-lending. we offer investment and donation opportunities directly to individual and insti
