soul & surf / india is india’s second ever surf retreat and the surprisingly wave-rich region of kerala’s first surf-focused business. we’re proud to be counted amongst a small handful of surf pioneers on the sub-continent and as such are dedicated and obliged to uphold the positive, ethical and sensitive development of surfing, surf culture and surf business in india. we have a chance to play a pivotal role in the development of surfing in a new region and we’re dedicated to ensuring the local coastal fishing community (not just the affluent existing tourist industry) genuinely benefits from this new influx of surf-tourists. we do this by employing local people wherever possible (unless the skills we need are not available), pay an above average wage, ensure that employees learn transferable skills and qualifications that can be utilised long after we’ve gone and our team pass on surf skills and stoke to any local people who are interested. if we get the foundations right surf can dev
