owner-instructor amy melnick has 20 years of experience as a nurse and fitness instructor. she started sound body sound mind fitness to show people the link between health, wellness and how exercise promotes a balance within the body's systems. amy is passionate about teaching and educating how exercise impacts every system in the body. her motivation is promote health and wellness information as well as lead challenging, effective, and safe workouts. "i have found adults to be motivated by answering the question; "how does this impact me?" and making practical applications to health and fitness." sound body, sound mind fitness gives her the opportunity to teach fitness classes but also educate about practical benefits to the body both inside and out. as a current icu nurse amy is also able to link health and fitness with current healthcare applications. the benefits of exercise can not be measured only by what we weigh!
