sound designs makes fine furniture for commercial and residential customers using locally sourced wood. when we say locally sourced, we mean it. we’re dedicated to creating beautiful, high-end furniture using wood from downed and fallen trees found on the north shore of long island. each sound designs piece is handmade, natural, and completely unique. it is a luxurious presence in your home or office, retaining all the remarkable fascination and wonder of the most atypical wood. not an item you keep and use until it falls apart, these are pieces built to last a lifetime. no polyurethane or commercial stains are used in our process, just natural, non-toxic finishes and a good deal of elbow grease. our team of sawyers, fabricators and artisans is dedicated to bringing the very best out of material we collect. all furniture is built in our studio in glen cove, new york, a small city overlooking long island sound, the source for our name and much inspiration.
