soundrunner was opened in november 2001 by julie francis, to help service the needs of individuals seeking to lead active lifestyles. from active footwear and apparel to grassroots events and races, julie felt that there was a void that needed to be filled...and that she did. through the years we have become a destination for people across connecticut to receive advice on proper running, walking and active equipment. we have contributed to many charities through the various races and events we sponsor. we have also created an atmosphere for individuals to participate in group runs, clinics and informational forums. in 2013, soundrunner was acquired by marathon sports. marathon sports' owner, colin peddie, strives to continue the same excellent customer service and knowledge that our customers have become accustomed to, while expanding product selection and involvement in the outlying communities. preston ranton is the general manager of both soundrunner locations and has held this p
