Sounds of Dyn-O-Mite Band Alumni Club

the sod club was officially founded by former alumni of the band on june 21, 2013, out of the need to organize an official support group for the alcorn state university sounds of dyn-o-mite marching band. since it’s inception, the group has played a vital role in providing financial, educational, and recruitment support for the sounds of dyn-o-mite. in october of 2015, the organization was officially recognized as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. through various service projects, the sod club has sponsored or donated; band t-shirts, meals for the students, gameday hydration, various uniforms and accessories for auxiliary units, assisted with travel costs for the band, and purchased several replacement instruments, among other support items. to date, the work of the sod alumni and all its supporters continue to press forward to ensure the future of the sounds of dyn-o-mite.
