Sounds of Science - Sofsci

sounds of science (also called sofsci) is a skype spin-off, inspired by the need for better acoustic environments. having constructed the skype audio lab our focus turned to enhancing the acoustics of the user´s environment to make skype calls sound even better. our research found many manufacturers producing expensive sound absorbers that, at their best, do not destroy the acoustic environment, while charging heavily for this. while also being audiophiles in general it was decided to focus on the market as a whole with function as the lead word. the goal is to create good acoustic environments and to do it scientifically – creating stuff that actually works and that works well. the company name reflects these goals and will be a constant reminder of our mission.
