souphattra hotel is located in the unesco world heritage area with historical charm as the main design style. the architect has preserved an original layout, buildings and decorative details. the buildings were developed on a french-lao colonial style, the main architecture, interior and surroundings. the design and decoration can be described as follows: the main building consisting of the hotel lobby and adjacent all-day dining room were decorated in a museum style with lao art pieces, historical sculptures and local handy crafts. the dining room has an emphasis based on the kingdom of “lan xang” (the ancient land of a million elephants under a white parasol).
