source cycles is a small company started by a couple of guys who love riding, talking about, and building custom bicycles that exceed the expectations of their riders. to our marrow we believe bicycles to be amazing, elegantly beautiful machines. we pride ourselves in the production of custom bamboo bicycle frames and accessories of the highest quality. our story it all began as little more than a side project inspired by a couple young travellers wanting to tour by bicycle instead of traditional backpacking. they came by the weekly hard-court bicycle polo event organized by natooke chengdu’s co-owners, jacob klink and larry adamson, to seek advice and help to build bamboo bicycle frames. after many months of research, experimentation, frustration, language and translation difficulties, we were able to reliably build bamboo bicycle frames that met our own high expectations and felt like a bicycle ought to feel. we were attracted by bamboo’s incredible natural qualities and general work
