South Asia Democratic Forum

the south asia democratic forum (sadf) is a brussels-based european initiative born as a dialogue platform on south asia and its relationship with the european union which developed into a think tank. sadf currently runs two research programmes, one on democracy and the other on regional cooperation. through its research and publications, sadf aims at promoting a better understanding and collaboration for peace, regional cooperation, democracy building, and development in the south asian region. furthermore, its objective is to strengthen collaboration within the south asian association for regional cooperation (saarc) and between the european union (eu) and saarc. sadf works to organise and maintain high-level contacts, stimulate studies, evaluation and research, develop and disseminate methods, combine networks, support and bring together persons, private and public institutions that can contribute to south asia related cooperation and understanding. sadf has built a network of inter
