South Asia School of Rural Reconstruction

sarr is a joint initiative of nationally and internationally recognized scholars, researchers, intellectuals and development experts, who constitute its faculty, to reconstruct and socially transform society in nepal and south asia through academic endeavors. sarr will therefore, contribute to critical thinking and provide an alternative to conventional teaching, learning and research exercises that dominate academia and policy discourse in the region. it recognizes the essential nature of a balance of theory and practicum and incorporates them in all its academic programs to strengthen student’s understanding of the realities of their societies. thus, sarr’s objective is to be developed into a full-fledged institution in higher education that runs undergraduate, graduate and phd programs.
