our mission  we are happy you are here and excited to help you reach a more optimal state of well being. south bay wellness was created on the idea that treating mental illness and promoting mental health could and should co-exist. spending much of our careers treating mental illness, most therapists spend their time much like doctors in the medical field; treating the symptoms of illness, in what we call a “reactionary model” treating mental illness when it is already present. it became overwhelmingly frustrating that very few professionals in the mental health field were creating or providing patients with the education, tools, and guidance to learn how to strengthen, apply and live in a way that encourages a “prevention based model” which promotes mental wellness. our mission is to wholeheartedly support and work hand in hand with our community of mental health professionals to simultaneously prevent and treat mental illness. we also believe it is our duty to help people help t
