South Cape Children's Choir

constructing inclusive south african socio-cultural group identity via musical achievement the south cape children's choir is the only regional performance entity in the eden district of the western cape of south africa that specializes in bringing together talented choristers (between the ages of 9 and 16) from all socio-economic communities in several urban centres, in order to represent our region nationally and internationally through the medium of choral art. we drive transformation by integrating children from all creeds & cultures in group activity, thereby creating unity from diversity. this shared identity is promoted by means of regular performances, concerts, tours and competitions, including: * world 1st place at the open competition of the 8th world choir games, riga, latvia - 2014 * three gold awards at the 8th world choir games, riga, latvia - 2014 * winner: kknk "kanna prize" for best musical production at the klein karoo national arts festival - 2013 * national champio
