South Central Task Force

the south central task force (sctf) is a regional preparedness organization comprised of representatives from public safety, non-governmental and private sector organizations frorn the counties of adams, cumberland, dauphin, franklin, lancaster, lebanon, perry and york. sctf was formed in 1997 and granted authorities under the pa counterterrorism planning, preparedness and response act 227-2002. the sctf mission is to assume a leadership role in delivering a comprehensive and sustainable regional "all hazards" emergency preparedness program that addresses planning, prevention, response and recovery for events in south central pa that exceed local capabilities. financial support for sctf equipment, planning, training and exercise activities is provided through the u.s. dhs homeland security grant program.
