south county mental health of rhode island was started because we saw a huge gap in care for bipoc/qtpoc, lgbtqia+, activists, artists, new parents, those navigating open relationships, immigrants and refugees in our community. we are a coalition of clinically trained mental health providers. we hold in highest regard the possibility for healing. honoring diversity, acting ethically and ensuring quality access to services is at the core of what we do. we seek to work with providers who understand the importance of the relational field and meet those seeking services from an authentic and humble space. further, those working with us have a deep affinity to social justice and view the complexities of our systems through a holistic, intersectionality, trauma informed and strengths based lens; we look at how our privilege/oppression-based culture comes into play into our own and our clients' lives. we carefully consider the importance race, culture and identity have on presenting
