South East Regional Group

the south east regional group of the geological society provides a focus for fellows of the society, including professional and student geologists and geoscientists, within a large region - extending from london to the south coast, and from guildford in the west to the east coast of kent. we aim to hold eight or so meetings each year, generally covering topics in the fields of engineering geology, hydrogeology, and the geological aspects of environmental engineerings. as such, we some some joint meetings with specialist groups within the geological society (e.g. the engineering group), as well as with the chartered institution of water and environmental management (ciwem) and the regional technical group of the institute of civil engineers (ice).
