the south end community health center is a full service health center providing adult and family medicine, pediatrics, ob-gyn, dental, eye care and wic services to 22,000 patients accounting for over 80,000 visits annually. our mission we are a board governed, nonprofit, comprehensive health care organization for all residents of the south end and the surrounding communities. we are committed to providing the highest quality, culturally and linguistically sensitive, coordinated health care and social services to every patient, regardless of their ability to pay. our history the health center was established in 1969 in response to a plea from a group of poor and underserved south end mothers, who sought quality health care for their children. since then, it has evolved into a full service health center offering adult/family medicine, pediatrics, behavioral health as well as dental and eye care. the dedicated staff provide high-quality, culturally and linguistically sensitive and
