south florida tea party is the largest tea party in florida. we started on april 15, 2009, 1.2 million people in over 850 cities across the united states of american held “tea parties” to protest the bailouts and fiscal abuse perpetrated by the government. this was just the beginning of a larger movement aimed at restoring the basic free-market principles our country was built on and holding the government responsible for excessive spending. south florida tea party, inc. as a non-profit and non-partisan grassroots organization of individuals united by our core values derived from the declaration of independence, the constitution of the united states of america, the bill of rights as explained in the federalist papers. we recognize and support the strength of grassroots organization powered by activism and civic responsibility at a local level. we hold that the united states is a republic conceived by its architects as a nation whose people were granted "unalienable rights" by our creat
