together our vision is to proactively manage the sub-categories of special educational needs and residential care and fostering placements, focusing on market development, negotiation and commissioning strategies, modelling future demand and sharing best practice. the partnership was originally set up in 2013 with 4 boroughs joining together with a clear focus on collaborative working in order to commission good quality placements within the sen sector, secure cost efficiencies and assist the boroughs with achieving the best outcomes for their children and young people with sen. since forming in 2013 the membership expanded to 10 south london boroughs and became the largest sub-regional group in greater london and the largest special educational needs (sen) sub-regional group in the country. the south london programme was subsequently awarded with the national government opportunities procurement award for ‘innovation of the year’ and the coveted lgc award for efficiency. in 2017 the p
